Fred Hallam Ltd – Commercial Photography

Fred Hallam’s are a family run fishmonger and greengrocer based in Beeston, Nottingham, and have been trading from the same shop in Beeston since well….way back further than even I can remember!!  Established in 1908 they are well known and respected in the community, I’m sure there’s not a local bod who doesn’t know them or hasn’t shopped there at least once.  I remember calling in there with my mum when I was a kid, but it’s changed a fair bit since then.

I called in last year to take a few shots of the new fish counter, which looks incredible, so I’m sharing some of those here.

One of the things I have planned for this year is to expand my commercial photography portfolio, including business portraits.   I’ll be showcasing some local (and possibly not so local!) businesses, so if you have your own business and need product shots, some visuals of your shop or workshop, and maybe a great portrait of yourself for your website and/or social media please get in touch.   I’ll also be offering special rates for new businesses in 2014.

You can contact me either through Facebook, email me on or call me on 07971 644523.

Abby Lanes - These photos are simply delightful! It never occured to me that looking at photos from a fish market would make me hungry, but now I want fish for dinner. You are certainly talented and a business would be wise to hire you for commercial work. Well done!

Claudia Willison - Gorgeous photos of a wonderful shop that I’d like to have in my neighborhood. I am sure I’d be a regular customer. I love the idea of mixing your commercial photography with local businesses. I wish I new where to start. Then I’d do the same here over the big pond.

Jill Moore - Fabulous Sara, I love your food photography so much. I wish this shop was near us – its fabulous to see them still going after all that time, so much nicer than the supermarket. Product and commerical photography is very tricky to do,, you have a really good eye and produce beautiful work. x
