Be.Photography Workshop – Creative Weddings

I think it’s really important as a photographer, and in fact in any job we do, to keep challenging ourselves and trying something different, to keep us on our toes and to keep learning new things.   So back at the beginning of March I attended the Creative Weddings Photography Workshop to learn a little bit more about wedding photography, the workshop was run by Jaye from Tux & Tales Photography and Shelly from Toast of Leeds, who together make the wonderful Be.Workshops.

And it really was an incredible couple of days!  Day one was centred around the styled shoots, both with a fabulous gypsy theme – one outdoor and one indoor (the dreaded low light…!).  There was a limited number of delegates so we weren’t all falling over each other, and we all got our own slice of time alone with the models, which was great.  Jaye helped us with the outdoor shoot showing us how to be creative with posing the couple and finding the best light, and Shelly was indoors helping us to embrace the darkness!  Day two was based around the business side of weddings, and was packed with no nonsense advice from Jaye and Shelly.  I left feeling incredibly inspired and itching to put my new knowledge into practice.

Below are a few of my favourite shots, and a list of all the mega talented people involved in setting up the workshop.

For any photographers reading, I honestly couldn’t recommend this workshop highly enough… the next one is in October and I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets booked up very quickly so get your backsides into gear if you don’t want to miss out!
